Sofiya graduated from UCLA in the Fall of 2025, where she double majored in Psychology and Sociology. As an intern with ImpactUA, she had the opportunity to travel to Ukraine and work with an organization that provides legal services to displaced persons. She is a Regional Director with the Borgen Project, a nonprofit that advocates for people living in poverty by educating the public on how to reach out to their Congressional leaders.
● What is your greatest fear?
○ Scary ocean creatures. Eels, barracudas, sharks, etc. They already look creepy and also have an advantage in the water… no thank you.
● What is the trait you most deplore in others?
○ Being rude, in any situation.
● What is your current state of mind?
○ Enthusiastic!
● Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
○ “Don’t tempt me with a good time.”
● What is your idea of perfect happiness?
○ Living in Europe, walking distance from all of my friends and family, working a job where I get to help people.
● What is your greatest extravagance?
○ Sushi… I could eat it every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
● What or who is the greatest love of your life?
○ My family, I would not be where I am today without them.
● Which talent would you most like to have?
○ I wish I could speak every language in the world.

○ Kristin Hannah, Lois Lowry, Madeline Miller, Emily Henry, Toni Morrison, RF Kuang
● What are you watching right now?
○ I am currently on a quest to watch all of the Studio Ghibli movies.
● What do you consider your greatest achievement?
○ Placing first in a transnational music competition.
● What is your most treasured possession?
○ My jewelry. They are all gifts from my family, so it’s a sweet reminder of them!
● What do you most value in your friends?
○ I value honesty. I feel like a real friendship can only flourish if everyone is open about how they feel.
● What was your first impression of Stephen?
○ My first impression of Stephen was that he was very friendly and passionate about his company and the work that he does.
● What was your first impression of Jacki?
○ My first impression of Jacki was that she is very well-rounded and great at making someone feel heard and welcome.
● What is your favorite restaurant in LA?
○ Bacari W3rd. Great food, most dishes are meant to be shared, so it is always a fun experience with friends!
● What is your favorite city to visit?
○ Lviv, Ukraine. I truly believe it is the most beautiful city in the world, filled with amazing people, delicious food, and fun activities.
● What excites you about joining B&G?
○ The team. Everyone is so incredibly talented and sweet! I am excited to get to know them better and work with them!
